Welcome to The Grove
As legend has it, the Grove neighborhood in Studio City is so named because the land it sits on was originally a shady eucalyptus grove. Now it is more known for being home to CBS Studios on Radford, which has been a major employer in the area since it’s construction (under a different name) in 1928. Since then, the studio has produced many classic TV shows such as ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’, ‘St. Elsewhere’, ‘Will & Grace’ and ‘CSI: New York’. Given its showbiz roots, residents of the Grove tend to be younger than those in other neighborhoods in the area, with the average age being 32. This youthfulness as well as the constant work going on at the studio give the Grove vibrant, lively energy. Homes in the neighborhood range from midcentury-modern to ultra-contemporary chic, further underscoring the area’s fun and edgy vitality. Though small and relatively unknown, the Grove is a neighborhood with limited inventory that buyers should keep a close eye on.
